Abstract


Traditionally, root canal treatment in multiple visits has been accepted and predictable protocol. In present, the benefits of single visit endodontic treatment have been proposed and many clinicians have considered it. The purpose of this review article is to find out evidence of single visit root canal treatment by discussing previous articles. In this article, it would discuss the outcome between single visit and multiple visits endodontic treatment as post-operative pain, flare-up and healing of periapical tissue. Overall, there are not significant different post-operative complication between singleand multiple- visit treatment. But the case of apical periodontitis and endodontic retreatment is still controversial.
